Song background and Tom's comments

Before this song was written, I had never eaten a lobster, but had not gone out of my way to avoid them. These days, I actively stay away from them in case I get called a hypocrite and can never perform this song ever again. I can still eat crabs though, right? Right?

Trivia: This song was the first of my own songs I ever performed publicly, and it was so unexpectedly well received I decided to make a career out of music. And here I am.
